After many years of production of the TD-124, it was time to develop a more modern high end player, and in 1968 Thorens TD-125 was launched.
Intermediate wheels and mechanics were replaced with belt drive and electronic speed control, and the TD-125 was quickly considered the very best turntable on the market.
With a plate and arm mounted on a cast iron stop with precision suspension and a Wein Bridge oscillator for engine speed control, the TD-125 set a whole new standard of performance and rumble.

The player for sale is an MkII version with improved engine management and has been heavily modified.
Plinth is stiffened with 22mm MDF and veneered in real Santos Rosewood. Cast iron stop is further resonance dampened for minor vibrations and painted in beautiful white glossy.
Motor control has new capacitors and performs like new. All components in the drive are disassembled, cleaned, polished and lubricated.
The player has a new armbase with Tonar SA-750D high end tonearm mounted on a Nagaoka MP-110 pickup.
New power cable and new Mogami signal cable.
The combination appears to be extremely gorgeous, and plays better than anything else in the price range.
