Beautiful ERA 444, heavily modified. When new a very nice quality turntable from France, but a lot has happened in 40 years and much can be improved. Built and modified to get the most out of the sound, in addition to a very good looking TT. All original components are carefully overhauled, cleaned, polished and lubricated.Worn parts replaced with new ones. Cabinet is reinforced with 3mm aluminum, and the entire turntable, including the bottom plate, is resonance damped. The SilentBloc damping plate has been removed in favor of better damping feets, inner hub is also resonance damped. Wood sides have been veneered with genuine Honduras rosewood, and the cabinet is painted in a gray glossy surface. Original tonearm is replaced with the Jelco SA-250ST, a precision instrument in itself. Power is supplied via an integrated mains noise filter, and gold-plated RCAs and earthing contacts are mounted on the back for optional signal cable. A stunning turntable, who acoustically competes with players far beyond it´s price point. All cables to get started are included.
